Top Video Game Journalists

Top Video Game Journalists

These journalists have had their pulse on all the video games in the gaming industry for years now. Whether they’re retro classics like EA’s first title: Risky Woods, or Ubisoft’s DoS version of ‘Prince of Persia’, these reporters have gone to great lengths to make sure that everything’s uncovered.

Besides, if it weren’t for the work of these video game journalists, we may not have heard about some of the best video game titles at the launch date, or during the pre-launch phase. Regardless, a news reporter’s work in the gaming industry is well spoken for, if it highlights developers’ accolades while bringing in a good chunk of publicity at the same time.

The golden era of video game journalism probably was shunned by reporters because the reporting medium was usual through print media. PC Mag was popular, and whatever little gaming magazines were being printed in the ’90s, they weren’t highlighting the latest newsworthy content in the industry.

Things are different now.

Today, these professionals are known to have achieved ‘Content Level: 100’ for their work. All thanks to their reporting tactics, gamers can easily decide which games are well worth the hassle of pre-ordering, and which ones are an easy pass.

It wouldn’t have been possible without the advancement in technology, and the entire World Wide Web basically acting as a single global village. Video game journalism is hailed as a career, and it is there to stay in years to come.

Needless to say, a video game journalist’s work also helps developers in the gaming industry as the news content highlights which games need improvement to build a loyal fanbase in near future.
