Lots of people pitch journalists by email, but what can you do to optimize the process to get more journalists to say "yes"?

One overlooked aspect is the pitch time. Can you pitch at the moment when they're most likely to be receptive to your idea?

It's important to consider the type and the format of the media outlet you're pitching. For an only morning TV show, the best time maybe 4:32 AM on a week day because that's when the producers are planning segments and they're in front of their desk. Or maybe for an influencer who doesn't work full time, the best time is a weekend afternoon, because that's when they're working on their passion projects.

Pay attention to the time of day you're pitching, optimize it for the time zone in which you're pitching and you'll be ultimately much more affective.

Remember, you can increase your conversion rates by optimizing the pitch time.
