The 9Lives brand came to PR Hacker with a simple request: Make their iconic spokescat, Morris — the most famous cat in the world in the 1970s and 80s — interesting and relevant again.
Solution
By focusing on social content with emotional triggers — and by relating cute cat photos to eternal truths about our culture and the human condition — Morris’ social reach grew from 50,000 impressions in an average month to more than 10 million per month — an increase of 200X! And we did it all organically, without any paid social placements.
BY THE END OF 2015, MORRIS’ FACEBOOK PAGE HAD ACQUIRED 1.7M POST LIKES AND 48M IMPRESSIONS WITH A COMBINED VALUE OF $1M.
